Kossaía as the name of a region is found in Diod. Sic. 17,111,5. The relationship to the
Kíssioi and the
Kissía region (Hdt. 5,49; 5,52; Diod. Sic.11,7,2) remains uncertain. The C. were probably identical to the Cassites (
