Died in 1531. France. Born in Avranches (Manche, Normandy), Guillaume studied in the University of Paris before becoming a monk at the abbey of Saint-Wandrille de Fontanelle (Seine-Maritime, Normandy); he was ordained a priest in 1506. Appointed treasurer and prior in 1501 under abbot Jacques Hommet, Guillaume made major improvements to the abbey, among other things finishing the cloister and adding the Holy Sepulchre chapel to the abbey church.
