fl. 1471-1508. Lower Germany. Anna was a Benedictine nun, prioress of the convent of Preetz (near Kiel, now in Schleswig-Holstein) from 1484-1508, and co-author of the chronicle known as the Buch im Chore, written in Latin and Low German. She also served as provost of the convent from 1494 to 1498. Her background is unclear but she was probably an aristocrat because of her good connections to the royal family. She was elected prioress in 1484 and was consecrated by the bishop in 1486.
