Umbri, Umbria

Umbrian city above the Plain of Foligno (modern Bevagna), municipium of the tribus Aemilia traversed by the Via Flaminia. Ancient remains: city walls, forum with a pseudoperipteros temple, theatre (1st cent. AD), amphitheatre, thermae (mosaics, 2nd cent. AD) and aqueduct. In the territory of M. there was viticulture and cattle breeding.
