Settlement from the early Iron Age; town in the Picenum, regio V, on a rise (319 m) on the right bank of the Tinna, modern Fermo (Ascoli P.), 8 km from the Adriatic coast where the harbour was situated (Φίρμον Πικηνόν· ἐπίνειον ...
