Daughter of Celeus and Metaneira
(Καλλιθόη, Kallithóe, ‘excelling in speed’). Oldest daughter of Celeus, King of Eleusis, and of Metaneira. C. and her sisters Callidice, Cleisidice and Demo invited Demeter, who was grieving for her daughter Persephone, to their home (H. Hom. 2,110).
