Also Susenbrat or Sausenbrat; German grammarian and rhetor. Born Wangen (Allgäu) c. 1485, died Ravensburg 1542. 1506 baccalaureate at the Artistenfakultät in Vienna, 1522 master’s degree at Basel. Thereafter worked as a teacher, latterly from 1532 at the Lateinschule in Ravensburg.
