German papyrologist and classical philologist. Born Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig S., Liegnitz (Silesia, now Legnica, Poland) 21. 10. 1873, died Altenhof (Schorfheid) 9. 8. 1960. Son of a superintendent and consistorial councillor (Konsistorialrat).
