Colucius Salutatus; Italian statesman and Humanist. Born Lino Coluccio di Pierio di Salutati, Stignano 16. 2. 1331, died Florence 4. 5. 1406. Studied at Bologna, then worked as a notary; 1367 chancellor in Todi, 1370/71 in Lucca; 1371–1374 notary in Stignano; 1375–1406 chancellor in Florence.
