Born 11. 2. 1751 at Wormesley Grange (Herefordshire), died London 23. 4. 1824. 1772–1778 (?) tours of Europe; 1780–1806 Member of Parliament; from 1781 member of the Society of Dilettanti, 1805 co-founder of British Institution for Promoting the Fine Arts, from 1814 Trustee of the British Museum in London.
