Italian poet, historian and epigraphist. Born Verona 1. 6. 1675, died there 11. 2. 1755. Educated at Jesuit college in Parma from 1698; 1718–1720 Provveditore del Comune (government civil servant) in Verona. 1732–1736 travelled through Europe to collect ancient inscriptions. Thereafter in Verona.
