Luschus, Antonius; Italian Humanist, philologist and rhetorician. Born Vicenza 1365 or 1368, died there 1441. Studied at Florence from 1386, at Pavia from 1388. Working from 1391 in the chancellery of Gian Galeazzo Visconti. Missions on behalf of Venice to Popes Innocent VII and Gregory XII. 1409–1436 Apostolic Secretary at Rome.
