Lynaker, Thomas; English physician and philologist. Probably born 1460, Canterbury or surroundings, died 20. 10. 1524. Schooled at Canterbury, studied at Oxford. 1487–1499 journey to Italy with stays at Florence, Rome, Venice and Padua. 1488–1490 studied at Florence with Angelo Poliziano and Demetrios Chalkokondyles. 1496 awarded a diploma of medicine at Padua.
