Born Geisa (Rhön) 2. 5. 1602, died Rome 27. 11. 1680. 1612–1618 attended Päpstliches Seminar at Fulda; 1618 entered the Jesuit Order at Paderborn. 1620–1622 studied natural sciences and classical languages at Paderborn and taught at the Jesuit college in Heiligenstadt. 1623/24 continued language studies at Koblenz and taught at the Jesuit college there. 1625 began theological studies at Mainz, where he took holy orders in 1628. 1629–1631 prof. o…
