Born Genoa 21. 6. 1929, died Bad Aibling (Upper Bavaria) 24. 11. 2003. 1949–1951 studied at Frankfurt, then 1951–1956 in Munich; doctorate Munich 1960. 1958–1966 consultant at DAI Athens. 1966–1994 prof. ord. in architectural history at Technische Hochschule/Universität Munich.
