Franciscus Dryander, Françoys du Chesne, Franciscus Quernaeus/Eichmann/van Eyck; Spanish Humanist and Bible translator. Born Burgos 1518 or 1520, died Strasbourg 1552. Studied at Leuven from 1539, then Wittenberg from 1541. Lecturer in Greek at Cambridge, 1548/49. Returned to Strasbourg 1550.
