Anglo-Spanish archaeologist and painter. Born 30. 3. 1855 in Lille, died 15. 8. 1930 in Mairena del Alcor (near Seville). Studied art at the Academies of Paris, London and Brussels. Lived in Spain from 1880. Excavated at several, mostly early historical sites (Tartessus, Carthaginian and Phoenician colonies in Spain) and Roman find sites in Andalusia.
