Biography

He established what became the Qarībiyya branch of the Sammāniyya in Omdurman where he built a mosque in Wad Nubāwī and where he is buried.

In his Ṭarīqa Sammāniyya, 37-38, Dr. Ḥasan al-Fātiḥ Qarīb Allāh lists those writings of his grandfather that are extant. Most of the manuscripts are kept at the mosque of Shaykh Qarīb Allāh in Omdurman.
